Industry 4.0 is an Industry that uses machine not human, industry 4.0 also refers to car and other motor vehicle innovations. motorized vehicles in industry 4.0 use alternative fuels or arguably don't use gasoline, for example, such as electric cars, solar energy vehicles, and so on. There is also a lot of waste that can be used as a substitute for gasoline or can be used as alternative fuels such as plastic.

Plastic is the waste that we encounter most often and we use it everyday. Plastic is also very difficult to decompose except by burning and of course burning plastic waste can make air pollution very severe. Even though there are many methods of recycling plastic, they still do not end well. But now there is a method so that plastic can be used properly, even as a substitute for fossil fuels / gasoline because plastic has a chemical content that can be used through the combustion process such as hydrocarbon content.

According to experts, plastic can indeed be used as an alternative fuel as a substitute for gasoline. This production method has been tried through a method, namely the 3-stage combustion method. the first stage is "pyrolysis" which means burning waste without O2 and is carried out at high temperatures, which is around 800 ° C to 1000 ° C. The pyrolysis technique is also an environmentally friendly combustion technique which means it is safe for the environment. This technique is said to be environmentally friendly because with this technique combustion produces CO2 and H2O (non-toxic) then this process also produces liquid hydrocarbons starting from C1 to C4 as well as long chain compounds such as paraffins and olefins.. The second process is hydrotreating or you could say the refining process to separate the elements produced in the pyrolysis process.. The third or last process is hydro-isomerization, which is to make the isomeric molecules have a high viscosity.

With the existence of alternative fuels from plastic this will greatly affect industry 4.0. The use of alternative fuels in motorized vehicles, both cars, motorbikes, and so on can reduce the use of fossil fuels / gasoline. This alternative fuel is also environmentally friendly when it is made so that it does not cause air pollution. This alternative fuel is also very helpful in minimizing plastic waste and this alternative fuel is renewable.
